Snorre field
Snorre is producing 79,039 barrels of oil equivalent a day — 1.9% of everything the Norwegian Continental Shelf produced in May 2026, ranking 14 of the 94 fields in production.
What it produces
In May 2026 the field delivered 79,039 barrels of oil equivalent a day, classified by the directorate as oil — almost entirely oil. Output has moved down 10.2% over the past twelve months, and the directorate's profile for the field is late life. The field's best year was 2003, averaging 252,820 boe/d — today it runs at 31% of that.
Since 1992, Snorre has produced roughly 1,698 million barrels of oil equivalent in total. The directorate's estimate of recoverable resources is 2,110 million boe, of which about 80% has now been recovered; 426 million boe remained as of 31.12.2025.
